Interim tariffs for the retransmission of distant radio and television signals during 1995

Reasons for decision

At the request of the Copyright Collective of Canada, the Board adopts, as interim tariffs for the retransmission of distant radio and television signals during 1995, the text attached to this order. The only adjustments made to the text of the tariffs for the years 1992 to 1994 reflect the coming into force, on January 1, 1995, of a new definition of small retransmission systems. These adjustments are found at section 2 (definitions of “licence,” “licensed area,” “premises” and “small retransmission system”), subsection 4(2), sections 7 and 16, subsection 22(3) and section 32 of the television tariff. The corresponding provisions in the radio tariff are section 2, subsection 4(2) and sections 12 and 27.

The forms contained in the tariffs for 1992 to 1994 shall be used for the interim tariffs, except for Form 2, which is attached* to this order, and which has been modified to reflect the change in the definition of a small retransmission system. Appendix A to the tariffs remains the same.
