RULING OF THE BOARD

Proceeding: CBRA Media Monitoring Tariffs

June 11, 2003

[1] Further to the Board's notice of May 6, 2003 and the various comments received in response to it, the board rules as follows.

[2] For the reasons set out in the Board's ruling of May 3, 2001, which remain relevant for the reasons set out in Mr. Becker's letter of May 21, 2003, CBRA's application for an interim tariff is denied.

[3] CBRA's application that the examination of the commercial and non-commercial media monitoring tariffs be combined is granted. This will make it much easier to pursue goals such as consistency, harmony and neutrality. The board is therefore ready to hear the matter as soon as possible and requests that CBRA consults all parties and submits, by no later than Friday, June 20, 2003, a new proposed schedule leading to a hearing beginning no later than the end of April 2004.
