NOTICE OF THE BOARD

 

File: SOCAN Tariff 3.B – Cabarets, Cafes, Clubs, etc. – Recorded Music Accompanying Live Entertainment for the years 2018-2020, 2021-2022 and 2023-2025

[1] In its response to Notice CB-CDA 2021-040, SOCAN submitted that it should be given the opportunity to review proposed adjustments made to the tariff to consider the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

[2] The Board is of the view that it does not need to consult SOCAN on this matter.

[3] Accordingly, the Board is now ready to conclude its written hearing process in the consideration of SOCAN Tariff 3.B for all years 2018 to 2025.

[4] For the purpose of calculating the 12 month period referred to in Section 2(a) of the Time Limits in Respect of Matters Before the Copyright Board Regulations, the Board hereby fixes the date for filing final written submissions to August 31, 2022.
