NOTICE OF THE BOARD

 

Notice Pursuant to Section 5 of the Time Limits in Respect of Matters Before the Copyright Board Regulations

February 3, 2023

 

[1] This notice is issued pursuant to Section 5 of the Time Limits in Respect of Matters Before the Copyright Board Regulations (SOR/2020-264) and varies Notice of the Board CB-CDA 2023-003.

[2] After further consideration, the Board hereby notifies Re:Sound that a hearing will be held in respect of the proposed tariff Re:Sound Tariff 6.C – Use of Recorded Music to Accompany Adult Entertainment (2024-2028).

[3] The Board will provide, in due course, further direction for the examination of the proposed tariff, including whether the hearing will be oral or written, or both.

[4] In order to increase the efficiency of its proceedings, the Board generally favours written hearings and written submissions, and proceeds by oral hearing only in cases where it is deemed necessary.
