ORDER OF THE BOARD

 

Matters: Re:Sound 6.A – Use of Recorded Music to Accompany Dance (2019-2023, 2024-2028)

April 29, 2024

[1] On February 7, 2024, the Board ordered the Parties in the above matters to file Notice of Grounds (Order 2024-008). In keeping with s 68.4(1) of the Copyright Act and Rule 21 of the Copyright Board Rules of Practice and Procedure, the Order provided that Re:Sound may file a reply no later than April 22, 2024.

[2] The Hotel Association of Canada and Restaurants Canada jointly filed a Notice of Grounds for Objection on April 8, 2024. It has come to the attention of the Board that this Notice of Grounds for Objection has not been served on Re:Sound.

[3] The Notice of Grounds for Objection is attached to this Order. Re:Sound may file and serve on the Hotel Association of Canada and Restaurants Canada a reply to the Notice of Grounds for Objection no later than Monday, May 13, 2024.
