ORDER OF THE BOARD
Proceeding: SOCAN Tariff 22.E – Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (2014, 2015, 2016,
2017, 2018)

I. Overview
[1] On June 24, 2024, pursuant to subrule 46(1) of the Copyright Board Rules of Practice and Procedure, SOCAN and the CBC jointly requested that the Board issue a confidentiality order in this proceeding to allow them to comply with Order CB-CDA 2024-044 (re.: filing of agreement in relation to a jointly-submitted text).
[2] The Parties propose to use as a template the confidentiality order in CB-CDA 2024-026.
[3] I issue the confidentiality order as requested.
II. ORDER DEALING WITH INFORMATION FOR WHICH CONFIDENTIAL TREATMENT MAY BE CLAIMED
1. This order applies to documents and information that any party designates as confidential or highly confidential.
2. Pursuant to the Practice Notice PN 2019-001 rev.1 on Format of Electronic Documents, a party may designate information as (i) confidential by highlighting that information only in yellow (ii) highly confidential by highlighting that information only in blue. All highlighted text should be clearly legible.
3. Where an entire page is confidential or highly confidential, either a yellow or blue page colour should be applied, respectively, to that page only.
4. Any party to this proceeding may file confidential or highly confidential information pursuant to this order.
5. This order does not in any way restrict a party from using documents or information that it has designated confidential. Further, this order does not restrict a party from using documents that it has supplied or to which it is a signatory.
6. In the event that additional parties are added to this proceeding, any party may file a request with the Board to modify this order.
