[1] In Notice CB-CDA 2025-017, the Board fixed the date for filing final written submissions in this proceeding to March 13, 2025.
[2] On March 19, 2025, the Board wrote to SOCAN, asking for an update on its progress in producing a French version of the Jointly Submitted Texts (JSTs).
[3] On March 28, 2025, SOCAN responded that it had identified an error in the JSTs.
[4] On April 24 and May 30, 2025, the Board wrote to SOCAN, requesting an update on the process of correcting the error mentioned in the March 28 email.
[5] SOCAN replied on May 30, explaining that “as a result of the omissions identified in the original [JSTs], SOCAN and the Objectors needed to agree to amend the terms of their agreement to reference the corrected tariffs. This amendment process is nearly complete. Once the amended agreement is executed by all parties, [it] will send the amended [JSTs] in English and French.” SOCAN was unable to provide an estimated timeline for filing the amended JSTs.
[6] This matter has been under deliberation since March 2025. The Board is getting ready to issue its decision in this proceeding. If SOCAN wants the Board to take its revised JSTs into consideration for the approval of the tariffs, it shall file them, in both official languages, no later than September 18, 2025.
