Proceeding: Online Audiovisual Services – Music (2014-2026)

I. Overview

  • [1] On May 30, 2025, SOCAN wrote to the Board with four requests:

  • that the Board compels Google and Warner Bros. to fully answer the questions asked in Order CB-CDA 2025-024;

  • that, pursuant to Rule 46(5), certain responses by Disney, Netflix, and Warner Bros., currently designated as highly confidential, be re-designated as confidential;

  • that the Board amends Confidentiality Order CB-CDA 2018-035 to include a court reporter or transcriptionist among those persons to whom confidential or highly confidential information can be disclosed; and

  • that the deadline for completing cross-examination be delayed until three weeks after the Board rules on the other requests.

II. Adjusted Schedule and Comments

  • [2] There are two deadlines remaining in the process relating to Order CB-CDA 2025-024: responses to Parties’ submissions, and replies to those responses. All of these deadlines are suspended until further notice.

  • [3] Any Party may respond to SOCAN’s requests by no later than Wednesday, June 18, 2025. SOCAN may reply to the responses by no later than Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
