RULING OF THE BOARD

 

Proceeding: 71-2023-01 Totem Médias Inc. v CONNECT Music Licensing Service Inc.

[1] On June 23, 2025, Notice CB-CDA 2025-045 provided that the Confidential Reasons for Decision could be reviewed by external counsel to Totem and to CONNECT.

[2] The same day, external counsel to Totem asked the Board’s permission to show the Confidential Reasons to Totem staff. On June 30, 2025, external counsel to CONNECT made an analogous request.

[3] Both requests are granted. Staff of Totem and staff of CONNECT may review the Confidential Reasons for the purpose of verifying the designation of information.

[4] The deadline for commenting on the designation of information, set in Notice CB-CDA 2025-045 and suspended in Notice CB-CDA 2025-049, is now set as July 17, 2025.

[5] The Board emphasizes that the Reasons for Decision are final, and no comments other than those relating to the designation of information will be accepted.
