Re: Stingray Objections to Re:Sound Proposed Tariffs for 2023 through 2027 1. This letter constitutes the statement of objections of Stingray Group Inc. (Stingray) in respect of the following statements of proposed royalties filed by Re:Sound for the communication to the public by telecommunication, in Canada, of published sound recordings embodying musical works and performers’ performances of such works:

a. Re:Sound Tariff 2 Pay Audio Services (2023-2027) b. Re:Sound Tariff 3.A Background Music Suppliers (2023-2026) c. Re:Sound Tariff 3.B Background Music (2023-2026) 2. These statements of proposed royalties were published by the Copyright Board on November 3, 2021.

3. Stingray objects to the proposed terms and rates of these tariffs on the basis that they are excessive and unreasonable. In particular, the proposal for Tariff 2 is in no way reflective of the certified Tariff 2 or the actual marketplace and is completely unacceptable. Stingray submits that the Board should not approve these tariffs as filed.

4. Stingray reserves the right to present evidence and raise issues in support of this and other objections to the Copyright Board in any proceeding relating to the Proposed Tariff.
