Dear Mr. McDougall: Re: Re:Sound Proposed Tariffs (2019) Stingray Objection 1. This letter constitutes the statement of objections of Stingray Digital Group Inc. (Stingray) in respect of the following statements of proposed royalties filed by Re:Sound for the performance in public or the communication to the public by telecommunication, in Canada, of published sound recordings embodying musical works and performers’ performances of such works:

a. Tariff 2 Pay Audio Services (2019) b. Tariff 3.A Background Music Suppliers (2019-2022) c. Tariff 3.B Background Music (2019-2022) d. Tariff 8 Non-Interactive and Semi-Interactive Streaming (2019)

2. These statements of proposed royalties were published in the Supplement to the Canada Gazette, Part 1 on May 5, 2018.

3. Stingray objects to the proposed terms and rates of these tariffs on the basis that they are excessive and unreasonable. Stingray submits that the Board should not approve the tariffs as filed.

4. Stingray reserves the right to present evidence and raise issues in support of these and other objections to the Copyright Board in any proceeding relating to the Proposed Tariffs.
