FILE: 2003-UO/TI-23 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNERS Non-exclusive licence issued to the University of British Columbia Music Library for the digital reproduction, the public performance and the communication to the public of sheet music on their Web site Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the University of British Columbia Music Library as follows: (1) The licence authorizes the digital reproduction, the public performance and the communication to the public (i.e., a scan of the music, a MIDI sound file, a PDF of the music reproduced in Finale notation and the music available for viewing, printing and reading in Finale Viewer) of the following 14 works (sheet music) on the Web site of the University of British Columbia: • British Columbia Grand March, composed by Ezra Read, published in the early 1900's by London Music Publishing Stores, London • Take a trip to old Vancouver Town, composed by Arthur L. (2) The licence expires when the works become part of the public domain. (3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies. (4) The applicant will pay the sum of $25 per work to any person who establishes, no later than five years after the works coming into the public domain, ownership of the copyright of the works covered by this licence. (5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the applicant's filing with the Board its undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (5) above.
