FILE: 2003-UO/TI-1 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNERS Non-exclusive licence issued to the University of Prince Edward Island's Robertson Library for the digital reproduction and communication to the public of The Prince Edward Island Magazine on a website Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the University of Prince Edward Island's Robertson Library as follows: (1) The licence authorizes the digital reproduction and the communication to the public of the contents of The Prince Edward Magazine published in Charlottetown, P.E.I. from 1899 to 1905, as per the list attached to the licence application dated January 3, 2003 filed with the Copyright Board. The issuance of this licence does not release the applicant from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence. (2) The licence expires when the works still protected become part of the public domain. (3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies. (4) The University of Prince Edward Island's Robertson Library will pay the sum of $25 per work to any person who establishes, no later than five years after the works coming into the public domain, ownership of the copyright of the works covered by this licence. (5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the applicant's filing with the Board its undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (5) above.
