Copyright Board Commission du droit d’auteur Canada Canada [TRANSLATION] Ottawa, May 30, 2003 FILE 2003-UO/TI-11 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNERS Non-exclusive licence issued to Éditions du remue-ménage, Montréal, Quebec, for the reproduction of a book cover page

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to Éditions du remue-ménage as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction, in the work L'anthologie de la pensée féministe au Québec by Micheline Dumont and Louise Toupin, published by Éditions remue-ménage, of the cover page of the book entitled Pour contrôler les naissances - D'après la méthode Ojino-Knaus by Jacques Poys, published in 1943 by Les Éditions Nossiop. The licence authorizes the reproduction of the cover page as an artistic work and does not cover the quotation of Bishop John Francis Noll (1925–1956) appearing on it.

No more than 2500 copies will be reproduced. Issuance of this licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(2) The licence expires on December 31, 2003. Any authorized reproduction must be completed by this date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

(4) Éditions du remue-ménage will pay the sum of $31.67 to the Société québécoise de gestion collective des droits de reproduction (COPIBEC), which may dispose of the royalty amount set by the licence as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. COPIBEC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before December 31, 2008, ownership of the copyright in the work covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on COPIBEC filing with the Board the receipt for the amount of royalties set in the licence, accompanied by an undertaking by COPIBEC to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
