Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to Mount Royal College Bookstore as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of the following two articles written by Robert Severns in 1990 for The Healing Heart Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota:

The Funeral Directors Guide - How to Arrange a Personalized Funeral Memory Lane and Grief Recovery Counseling (consisting of 18 pages)

The Healing Heart Center, with Winter's Funeral Homes Drumheller and Hanna, Present a Health Care Professional Grief Recovery Workshop - Emotional Medicine (consisting of 22 pages)

The articles are to be provided to students enrolled in the Funeral Director and Embalmer Certificate Program (distance education) for the Funeral Directing II Course at Mount Royal College.

No more than 37 copies of each article shall be reproduced. The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(2) The licence is retroactive to December 1, 2002 and expires on December 31, 2006. The authorized use and reproduction must therefore be completed by the expiry date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

(4) Mount Royal College Bookstore will pay the sum of $0.30 per page of each article reproduced (or 18+22 = 40 x0.30 x 37 = $444) to Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, who will dispose of the amount as it sees fit for the general

- 2 - benefit of its members. It undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before December 31, 2011 ownership of the copyright in the works covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the filing with the Board of a receipt from Access Copyright for the amount of the royalty specified in the licence, accompanied by Access Copyright's undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
