FILE: 2006-UO/TI-31 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER Non-exclusive licence issued to the Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, authorizing the reproduction of five Sidney Clarke Ells drawings Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the Art Gallery of Alberta as follows: (1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of the following five Sidney Clarke Ells drawings in the Art Gallery of Alberta publication entitled "The Road: Constructing The Alaska Highway": Building the Alaska Highway, Alaska, U.S.A. Alaska Highway Alaska Highway, Alaska, U.S.A. Loading Toboggans for a Dog Train Hannibal Crossing the Alps No more than 1,000 copies of the drawings shall be reproduced. (2) The licence expires on December 31, 2006. The authorized reproduction must therefore be completed by that date. (3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies. (4) The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence. (5) The licensee will pay the sum of $242 to the Canadian Artists' Representation Copyright Collective (CARCC) who will dispose of the amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. CARCC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establis hes

before December 31, 2011, ownership of the copyright of the works covered by this licence. (6) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the filing with the Board of CARCC's undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (5) above.
