Ottawa, September 1, 2005 FILE: 2005-UO/TI-26 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNERS Non-exclusive licence issued to the Board of Governors Archives at Exhibition Place, Toronto, Ontario for the reproduction and public performance of two films Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the Board of Governors Archives at Exhibition Place as follows: (1) The licence authorizes the reproduction on DVD and the public performance of the following two films at the historical exhibition "Baby Boomers at the Ex" of the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, August 19 to September 6, 2005: Railyard © Robert Sax 1977, 16mm film (duration: 3.5 minutes) Gimme a Break!, © James Sennema 1977, 16mm film (duration: 12 minutes) This licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence. (2) The licence expires on September 7, 2005. The authorized reproduction and public performance must therefore be completed by that date. (3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies. (4) The works will be exhibited/screened on a "most favoured nations" basis, meaning that the licensee will pay the highest price it has paid for showing another cinematographic work as part of the same exhibition. If nothing was paid for showing any other cinematographic work as part of the same exhibition, the licence f ee shall be one dollar ($1). The licensee will pay this amount to any person who establishes, before September 7, 2010 ownership of the copyright in a work covered in this licence. (5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the licencee filing with the Board its undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
