Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board issues a licence to Les services de garde La petite école as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the mechanical reproduction of the following six songs (of which the authors, composers and publishers are unknown) on 500 digital audio discs that will be distributed free of charge to the families using the daycare service, as well as to teachers and home childcare providers:

L’autobus (duration: 27 seconds) Les fantômes (duration: 38 seconds) Michaud (duration: 36 seconds) Pédro (duration: 35 seconds) Les doigts (duration: 59 seconds) P’tits lapins (duration: 28 seconds) (2) The licence expires on December 31, 2006. The authorized reproduction must therefore be completed by that date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

The issuance of this licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

- 2 - (4) Les services de garde La petite école will pay the sum of $50 to the Society for Reproduction Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers in Canada (SODRAC), which may dispose of this amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. SODRAC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before December 31, 2011, ownership of the copyright in any of the works covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on SODRAC filing with the Board of the receipt for the amount of royalties set in the licence, accompanied by an undertaking by SOCRAC to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
