FILE: 2012-UO/TI-05 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER Non-exclusive licence issued to the Canadian Institute of Natural and Integrative Medicine (CINIM), Calgary, AB, authorizing the digital reproduction and the communication to the public by telecommunication of two jokes Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the Canadian Institute of Natural and Integrative Medicine (CINIM) as follows: (1) The licence authorizes the digital reproduction and the communication to the public by telecommunication of the following published jokes, provided they are not in the public domain. • The Clever Little Girl • The Young Businessman (2) The licence expires December 31, 2015. (3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of the country that applies. (4) The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence. (5) The licensee will pay the sum of $15 (or $7.50 per work) to Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, who may dispose of the said amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. Access Copyright undertakes, however, to reimburse the amount to any person who establishes, before December 31, 2020, ownership of copyright in any of the jokes covered by this licence. (6) The license shall ensure that the following credit is prominently presented next to each joke: “This version of the short story “[Enter name of Jokes]” is used with permission under a non-exclusive licence issued by the Copyright Board of Canada in

cooperation with Access Copyright, the Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency, as its author remains unknown.” (7) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on Access Copyright filing with the Board a notice of receipt which confirms that the royalties, as specified in paragraph (5) have been received and that Access Copyright undertakes to comply with the conditions set out in same.
