Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to the University of Toronto Press (UTP) Custom Publishing, as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reprint of the publication entitled Development and the Military in the Philippines: Military Perceptions in a Time of Continuing Crisis cowritten by Filipe B. Miranda and Ruben F. Ciron and published by Social Weather Stations, Quezin City, Philippines, in 1988.

One single copy of the work will be printed. (2) The licence expires on December 31, 1999. The authorized reprint will have to be completed by that date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. (4) UTP Custom Publishing will pay $12.24 to the Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency (CANCOPY). CANCOPY may dispose of the said amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. It undertakes, however, to reimburse the amount to any person who establishes, before December 31, 2004, ownership of the copyright of the work covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the applicant's filing with the Board a receipt from CANCOPY for the payment of $12.24 specified in the licence, accompanied by CANCOPY's undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
