Copyright Board Commission du droit d’auteur Canada Canada [TRANSLATION] Ottawa, March 6, 2000 FILE 1999-UO/TI-22 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNERS Non-exclusive licence issued to Les Éditions du Vermillon, Ottawa, Ontario, authorizing the reproduction of an excerpt of an article by Roger Cyr published in La Patrie

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board issues a licence to Les Éditions du Vermillon, as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of an excerpt of an article by Roger Cyr entitled Jean Duceppe dénonce les sociétés secrètes published in La Patrie (La Patente se meurt) in May 1964, in a novel by Jean Taillefer titled Ottawa, P.Q..

(2) No more than 500 copies shall be reproduced. (3) The licence expires on December 31, 2000. Any authorized reproduction must be completed by this date.

(4) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. (5) Les Éditions du Vermillon will pay the sum of $10 to the Société de gestion collective des droits de reproduction (COPIBEC), which may dispose of this amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. COPIBEC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before December 31, 2005, ownership of the copyright in the work covered by this licence.

(6) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the filing with the Board of COPIBEC undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
