Pursuant to the provisions of paragraph 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board issues a licence to Les Éditions du Vermillon, as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of an excerpt of a work by Rodolphe Girard entitled Contes de chez nous published by [n.p.] in Montréal in 1912, in two books by René Dionne entitled: (1) L'Anthologie de la littérature franco-ontarienne, des origines à nos jours, Tome 2; (2) L'Histoire de la littérature franco-ontarienne, des origines à nos jours, Tome 2.

For each book, no more than 500 copies shall be reproduced. (2) The licence expires on December 31, 2000. Any authorized reproduction must be completed by that date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

(4) Les Éditions du Vermillon will pay the sum of $20 to the Société de gestion collective des droits de reproduction (COPIBEC), which may dispose of the amount of the royalties set by this licence as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. COPIBEC undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before December 31, 2005, ownership of the copyright in the work covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional of COPIBEC filing with the Board the receipt for the amount of royalties set in the licence, accompanied by an undertaking by COPIBEC to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
