Copyright Board Commission du droit d’auteur Canada Canada [TRANSLATION] Ottawa, March 12, 2001 FILE 2000-UO/TI-7 UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNERS Non-exclusive licence issued to Groupe Beauchemin Éditeur Ltée, Laval, Quebec, authorizing the reproduction of an illustration by Michèle Goudro

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board issues a licence to Groupe Beauchemin Éditeur Ltée, as follows:

(1) The licence authorizes the reproduction of the illustration of Séraphin Poudrier by Michèle Goudro as directed by Claude-Henri Grignon and published in the novel Un homme et son péché by Claude-Henri Grignon by Éditions Internationales Alain Stanké in 1977. The illustration will be reproduced in a study of L'Avare by Molière by Luc Bouvier.

No more than 6000 copies will be reproduced. The issuance of this licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

(2) The licence expires on April 30, 2000. Any authorized reproduction must be completed by that date.

(3) The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

(4) Groupe Beauchemin Éditeur Ltée will pay $125 to Société des droits d'auteur en arts visuels (SODART), which may dispose of this amount as it sees fit for the general benefit of its members. SODART undertakes, however, to reimburse any person who establishes, before April 30, 2005, ownership of the copyright in the work covered by this licence.

(5) The coming into force of this licence is conditional on SODART filing with the Board the receipt for the amount of royalties set in the licence, accompanied by an undertaking by SODART to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (4) above.
