UNLOCATABLE COPYRIGHT OWNER FILE 2023-UO/TI-09 Ottawa, July 21, 2023 Non-exclusive licence issued to Ivy Shawl-Song, Wabamun, Alberta, for the reproduction, performance in public, including any communications to the public by telecommunication and making available to the public, and any publication of a photograph for use in a thesis or any activities related to the dissemination of said thesis

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board issues a licence to Ivy Shawl-Song as follows:

To reproduce the photograph “Graduates” from the George P. Vanier High School (Morinville, Alberta) 1964-1965 yearbook, author unknown, as well as perform the photograph in public, including by communicating the photograph to the public by telecommunication and making the photograph available to the public, publish the photograph, and authorize any other person to do such acts as they relate to use of the photograph in a thesis and the dissemination of said thesis.

The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

The licence is valid until the work is no longer protected by copyright. The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

The licensee will pay the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25) to anybody who establishes, within five years from the expiry of the licence, ownership of the copyright in the work covered in this licence.

The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the licensee filing with the Board a Notice of Undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (6) above.
