Ottawa, September 20, 2023 Non-exclusive licence issued to Neurone 3 et Cité Mémoire Charlevoix, La Malbaie, Quebec, authorizing the reproduction of an excerpt of a literary work

Pursuant to the provisions of subsection 77(1) of the Copyright Act, the Copyright Board grants a licence to Neurone 3 et Cité Mémoire Charlevoix as follows:

The licence authorizes the reproduction, the public performance, the communication to the public by telecommunication, including making available to the public by telecommunication in such a way that everyone can access it from the place and at the time chosen individually of an excerpt of the novel Menaud Maitre Draveur (1937) by Félix Antoine Savard (1896-1982) in an audio recording.

The issuance of the licence does not release the licensee from the obligation to obtain permission for any other use not covered by this licence.

The licence is valid from June 1 st , 2023, and expires on October 31, 2028. The licence is non-exclusive and valid only in Canada. For other countries, it is the law of that country that applies.

The licensee will pay the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) to anybody who establishes, before October 31, 2033, ownership of the copyright in the work covered in this licence.

The copyright owner can terminate the licence by presenting a written notice to this effect to the licensee. The licensee will cease using the work for the uses granted in this licence, no later than 30 days after the receipt of the notice. The copyright owner who terminates the licence is still entitled to the royalties described in paragraph (5).

The coming into force of this licence is conditional on the licensee filing with the Board a Notice of Undertaking to comply with the conditions set out in paragraph (5) above.
